poopie tracker ("we," "us," or "the app") is a humorous bowel-movement tracker. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and who it's shared with. We've tried to keep it plain and simple.
The Short Version

Your actual poop logs, streaks, and stats are stored only on your device. We never see them and they never leave your phone.

We use basic analytics to understand how the app is used.

If you choose to post to the leaderboard or contact us, that information is sent to the services described below.

What we collect and where it goes
1. Your tracking data (stays on your device) Every poop you log, along with your streaks and statistics, is saved locally on your device using your browser/app storage. This data is not transmitted to us or anyone else. If you delete the app or clear its data, it's gone.
2. Leaderboard submissions (only if you choose to participate) If you submit a score to the weekly leaderboard, we store the alias (username) you choose and your poop count on our backend, provided by Supabase. You are not required to provide your real name or any personal identifier. Pick any alias you like. No account is required.
3. Link-click and usage analytics We use Google Analytics 4 (a Google service) to understand general usage, such as which features are used and which outbound links are tapped. We also log outbound link clicks to our Supabase backend. This information helps us improve the app. Analytics may include standard technical data such as device type, app version, and general activity, and is collected in aggregate.
4. Contact form (only if you choose to use it) If you send us a message through the in-app contact form, your name, email address, and message are delivered to us via Formspree, a form-handling service. We use this only to read and respond to your message.
Third-party services we rely on
The following services may process data as described above. Each has its own privacy policy:

We share information with these services only as needed to provide the features above. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data Retention

On-device tracking data: kept until you delete it.

Leaderboard entries: retained to display historical and weekly standings; you may request removal (see below).

Contact messages: kept as long as needed to respond and for our records.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using any feature that sends data (the leaderboard and the contact form are both optional). To request deletion of a leaderboard entry or a message you've sent us, email us at the address below with enough detail to identify the entry, and we'll remove it.
Children's Policy
poopie tracker contains crude and adult humor and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is intended for a mature audience.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
